The Kissing Cabinet

The Kissing Cabinet is the first of a series that epitomises A&A's ongoing exploration of intriguing sculptural forms, intentionally blurring the boundaries between art, craftsmanship, and design to evoke anticipation and wonder.

 

Drawing viewers into a realm where aesthetics and mystery harmonise seamlessly, the vertical structure of the cabinet stands tall with sinuous, curvy shapes and a vibrant palette that creates a visually captivating experience.

 

Yet, its true enchantment unfolds as it gracefully turns inside out, revealing secret drawers, each concealing its own enigmatic treasures. Upon closure, the curvy shapes converge, resembling large abstract kissing lips, symbolising the fusion of beauty and concealed depth.

 

This captivating blend of artistic innovation and hidden compartments elevates the Kissing Cabinet beyond mere furniture, transforming it into a poetic exploration of the interplay between visual allure and the allure of the unknown.
